Can you tell me where do you usually buy shoes? Not long ago I was purchasing shoes only in traditional shops. The majority of good shops in our town are situated in the centre. So if I needed to buy a new pair of shoes I did it exceptionally on Saturdays or Sundays, because during a working week I didn’t have an opportunity to devote half of a day on shopping. And even on days off it was very tiresome because I had to visit about dozen of shops before I usually managed to find shoes I liked and wanted to buy and what is more - I have a non-standard foot.

About five weeks ago I needed to buy a new pair of shoes and one of my friends advised me to try to find them on the Internet. Because I didn’t know any sites of such kind I decided to write in a search one word - “shoes”. Frankly speaking I didn’t expect such a variety of choice. I was offered to buy fashion sneakers and purchase Blowfish footwear. But at that moment I didn’t need shoes that were selling in those online stores. I even found a nice shop that proposed to buy Paris Hilton shoes, but if to be truthful, I don’t earn enough to afford such shoes. My attention was attracted by women’s casual shoes for sale. In that online store named “Women’s casual shoes to buy” I found a lot of interesting models of shoes that really deserved my attention. I easily chose ones I liked most of all and they delivered these shoes to me in a day. In our life there are often question answers for which we want to know, but we can hardly find these answers. For instance I can not understand what has happened to my brother after he bought a car. It seems to me that he has lost any interest to his hobbies, friends, films, things that he loved before, etc. At present the only topic that provokes his interest is “cars”.

I don’t know how about you, but for me choosing a present has always been the hardest problem I can even imagine. When one of my relatives or friends has a birthday I usually start to think over the present I want to give long before and I consider all possible variants like souvenirs, money, some equipment for their hobbies (for instance watering can for gardening or a special bag for a camera), etc.

Last week it was my mother’s and uncle’s birthdays: they are twins, so I needed to find presents for both of them. I was thinking for a long time about presents that can be useful and of great value for them, but I didn’t manage to find what to buy. And I decided to turn for a piece of advice to the Internet. In one of the search engines I wrote only two words: “interesting presents”. It found a lot of sites for me that deserved my attention but unfortunately none of them offered what I really wanted to purchase. Only in fifty minutes I finally found a site with watches called “Cheap D&G watches“. But I have to say that I’m a very discreet person and I never buy the first thing that I like. What is the Internet for modern people? Can they do without it? Frankly speaking it seems to me that at present the majority of people can not live without this useful and very helpful invention!

All of us use it for different purposes. For instance my father uses it for getting information on international economic, political, social and other topics, it’s much easier for him to find information on the Internet than to watch TV for example, because here he has an opportunity to choose what to read and what to omit.

My mother uses it for communication with her sister who lives in Canada. My mom says that it’s much cheaper to chat with my aunt on the Internet than to phone her. And as far as letters are concerned she is sure that emails are more comfortable in use because they are delivered in a few seconds but if she writes an ordinary letter it takes days before my aunt read it.

My younger brother uses the Internet as a source of entertainment. He watches videos, plays games and so on.

But my elder brother uses the Internet as a source of money. Have you ever thought about the boundless opportunities that the Internet provides us? As you see for all people the Internet is of great value, but all of them use it for different purposes.

So nearly a week ago I decided to carry out an investigation. I asked my friends, relatives, acquaintances and their mates for what purpose their use the Internet most of all. All the purposes that I have enumerated at the very beginning were mentioned, but some responses deserve our attention. For instance one woman said that the Internet is like a large shop of all necessary goods she can buy at the same time and without spending her precious time. One couple said that they always buy vitamins for children online. They found a good store on the Internet with the service and quality of which they are satisfied. But what really surprised me was the fact that so many of my friends buy sleepwear online. I didn’t expect it! But that’s nice!

And the last thing I want to say is that the Internet today provides many opportunities but at the same time it has a lot of traps, so be careful and attentive!

It goes without saying that the Internet is a great thing that facilitates our lives and makes them more pleasant. Today you can do almost everything on the Internet. Frankly speaking I’m one of these people. I like to purchase things online not only because it saves time and money. But because it’s very convenient:
” I can compare prices in dozens of stores at the same time (can you imagine how much time it would take to do it in reality);
” Usually they deliver my goods to my place and I don’t have to go somewhere;
” And also I can read some additional information about functions and opportunities of this or that product on the Internet, thought not every shop-assistant can provide this information in traditional shops.

I’m sure that like majority of people you choose a week-end for visiting shops in order to find a pair of shoes and finally you manage to choose shoes that you like you return home tired and exhausted. Well it seems to me that buying of a car can be compare to start keeping of a pet, because any car demands a lot of attention, care and love.

Nearly a year ago when I didn’t have a car one of my colleagues said such a phrase: “Cars influence your relations with dear people very much and sometimes they can even destroy your relations”. When I heard this phrase I didn’t understand it, it was impossible for me, but I really understood what my colleague meant when I bought a car nearly half a year ago.

It takes a lot of money every month and my wife is dissatisfied with this point. First of all I’d like to say that watches have always been very valuable and precious presents. Since ancient times watches took a special place among the presents for crowned heads. Watches were given only to dear and beloved people and it was a symbol of respect and esteem.
